Product introduce


The ISO 12127 thermal conductivity tester evaluates protective clothing materials under high-temperature contact conditions (100°C–500°C) using a heated cylinder and calibrated sensors. It measures heat transfer resistance to ensure compliance with ISO 12127-1 and EN/DIN standards, critical for certifying fire-resistant garments used in welding, foundries, and industrial safety. Delivers precise, reliable data for global PPE manufacturers and testing labs.




Standard


1. ISO 12127-1:2015


- Title: Clothing for protection against heat and flame — Determination of contact heat transmission through protective clothing or constituent materials — Part 1: Contact heat produced by heating cylinder


- Content: This standard specifies the method for measuring the thermal conductivity of protective clothing or its materials using a heating cylinder to simulate high temperature contact (100°C to 500°C). During the test, the calorimeter contacts the heating cylinder at a speed of 5mm/s, applies a force of 49N, and records the time required for the temperature to rise by 10°C.


- Current status: It replaces ISO 12127-1:2007 and is the current valid version.


2. EN ISO 12127-1:2015


- The version adopted by the European Committee for Standardization (CEN) is consistent with the content of ISO 12127-1:2015 and is applicable to the European Union.


3. DIN EN ISO 12127-1


- German standardized version, also based on ISO 12127-1:2015, used for testing and certification in Germany and German-speaking countries.

Technical parameters


1. The equipment consists of a control box and a stainless steel test stand;


2. The sample rack is automatically raised and lowered, with a lifting speed of 5mm±0.2mm/s;


3. K-type armored thermocouple, diameter 2mm, temperature measurement accuracy 0.1℃;


4. The heating barrel is made of high-temperature resistant metal material, the temperature is greater than 500℃, and the diameter of the sample contact surface is 25.2±0.05mm;


5. Heating range of the heating body: room temperature ~ 500℃, real-time display, the heating body platform can move parallel to the left and right;


6. The load weight of the heating barrel is 49N, which can be adjusted;


7. The timer timing range is 9999s, and the timing accuracy is 0.1s;


8. The diameter of the calorimeter fixing plate is 25mm, the thickness is 5mm, and it is equipped with a platinum resistance temperature sensor, and the temperature measurement range is not less than 1000℃;


9. The calorimeter automatically rises and falls at a constant speed;


10. The support frame material is nylon 66; diameter 40mm Height 50mm;


11. Sample diameter 80mm;


12. PLC and touch screen intelligent control system;


13. Temperature rise PID intelligent control, the system automatically collects temperature data (including experimental start temperature, critical time, critical time end temperature, real-time temperature);


14. Test data system automatically calculates and stores; can be freely printed;
