Gas Burning Velocity Test Apparatus, in accordance with ISO 817 Annex C, is used to measure the burning velocity of flammable gas with air mixed, such as refrigerants, li-ion battery thermal runaway venting gas, by testing on synthetically replicated gas.


Test object: refrigerant or flammable gas

Test indicators: burning speed, flame peak area, flame bottom cross-sectional area


Main Feature:

1.  High-temperature resistance burning tube, diameter of 40mm, length of 1200mm, pressure resistance better than 0.1MPa.

2.  10L Pre-mix chamber, with a pressure resistance of not less than 1MPa.

3.  Pressure measurement system, measuring range of -0.1 to 0.3MPa, accuracy better than 0.05% F.S.

4.  It is equipped with a pressure relief port device and a special solenoid valve for gas distribution, with a solenoid valve with a pressure resistance of not less than 1.6Mpa and a response speed of not less than 10ms.

5.  Flame area calculation software, auto-calculates the cross-section area of the flame base (af) and flame surface area (Af).

6.  High-speed camera, auto-triggered by the software.

7.  Compact physical size, low weight, and high light sensitivity allow use in limited space.

8.  The system captures at a speed of not less than 1,000 fps at full frame resolution conditions.

9.  The system captures at a speed of not less than 70,000 fps at 1280 x 8 pixel resolution conditions.

10.  Minimum exposure time up to 1.0μs.

11.  The system has a pixel size of 14.6μm and a dynamic range of 60 dB.

12.  OMEGA K-type insulated thermocouples, diameter of 1.6mm.

13.  Ignition system, equipped with 2 ignition needles and an ignition transformer of 13 to 15 kV.

14.  Vacuum pump, capacity no less than 1L/s, used for venting air from the chamber.

15.  Operation software, function includes gas mixture, gas fill, ignition, and camera activation.
