Two weeks ago, the ISO 5659-2 NBS smoke density test chamber was shipped to Singapore.
NBS smoke density test chamber is the most widely accepted apparatus for the measurement of smoke from burning materials and measures specific optical density under flaming and non-flaming conditions. It is also used for the extraction of toxic gas. The equipment can meet the following optional standards ASTM E 662, BS6401, ISO 5659, NES 711, NEPA 258,
etc.
The NBS Smoke Density Chamber is used for measuring the smoke generated from solid materials and it has been developed into two optional different radiant heat sources, a horizontal radiation cone (ISO 5659-2) and a vertical furnace (ASTM E662) respectively, and with different test procedures.
