EN ISO 1716 Bomb Calorimeter for building Products

Under standard conditions, a sample of a specific mass is placed in an oxygen bomb calorimeter with a constant volume, and the calorific value of the sample is measured. The oxygen bomb calorimeter is calibrated with standard benzoic acid. Under standard conditions, the test is based on the test temperature rise, taking into account all heat loss and latent heat of vaporization, calculate the heat of combustion of the sample.

EN ISO 1716 standard is used to assess the A1, A2, Af1, and Af2 levels in the classification of construction products (EN 13051-1).

A1, A1f1, A1L grades must meet the following four requirements at the same time:

1 The total calorific value (PCS) of the main components of homogeneous or non-homogeneous products ≤ 2.0MJ/Kg;

2 External non-substantial component (PCS) of non-homogeneous products ≤ 2.0MJ/Kg;

3 Internal non-substantial component (PCS) of non-homogeneous products ≤ 1.4MJ/m2;

4 Overall product (PCS) ≤2.0MJ/Kg;
